Computer Access: Adults can use computers at OCTD for job search activities, such as creating resumes, filling out job applications, and accessing online job listings. This service is free of charge and available to anyone seeking employment assistance.
Job Search Assistance: OCTD offers workshops and one-on-one assistance with job searches, resume writing, and interview preparation.​
Individualized Support: OCTD provides one-on-one counseling sessions to understand the specific needs, strengths, and goals of underserved individuals. This personalized approach helps create customized career plans.
Culturally Competent Advising: OCTD complies with The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) which includes provisions for career case management to assist individuals in navigating the workforce development system and achieving their employment and career goals. Career case management under WIOA involves personalized guidance and support from career counselors or case managers who help individuals assess their needs, plan their career paths, and access the necessary resources and services.
Skills Development and Training
Vocational Training Programs: OCTD uses job-specific training that equips individuals with the skills needed for high-demand industries, such as Healthcare, Information Communication Technology (IT), Advanced Manufacturing, and Construction, Hospitality, Leisure and Retail, Beauty industry, and other related fields.
Soft Skills Workshops: OCTD offers training in essential soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are crucial for workplace success.

Job Placement and Employer Partnerships
